Frequently asked questions FAQWhat is a winter gift exchange?A winter gift exchange is a seasonal fandom event where you get assigned to another participant and create a fanwork as a gift for them, based on their wishes and preferences and in turn you receive a gift. The works are initially posted anonymously before the creators are revealed later on.What can I sign up as?You can sign up as a writer, artist or pinch hitter, if you do and would like to gift non traditional art like cosplay, crafts or other creations specify it in the signup form.What are the minimums?For writers your gift should have a minimum of 1000 words.For artists it should be one complete artwork.What is the schedule?Signups will stay open until September 27th and we will give you your assignments by October 1st. Subsequently we will have two check-ins, one on October 20th, and one on November 15th. Posting will happen on December 1st and the reveals will be a week later.How do I post?Upload your fics or art to our ao3 collection so we can do the reveals, (guide to posting art and images to ao3 here(https://archiveofourown.org/works/19204288) once we do the reveals you can post your fanwork to your account.Remember to tag your giftee so they get their gift and us when posting so we can share them on our twitter and tumblr accounts!What content is allowed/Can I write/request NSFW/Dead dove content?We allow most things but you'll have to keep to the prompts provided to you. In the form you will be asked questions about what you're willing to receive and create and anything you really don't want to receive, remember to answer thoroughly!You will also get multiple prompts to choose from so if there's some you don't want to fill you should be fine.If you find yourself unable to fill any of the prompts for some reason feel free to contact the mods!We ask that participants do not request or write extreme underage or bestiality (monsterfucking is allowed, of course) as we will not be able to mod this, otherwise you can ask for anything you want!Are background ships allowed?If your giftee does not specify that they do not wish for a certain background ship all and any background ships are allowed, as long as your focus is on the main ship of Luo Binghe/Liu Qingge/Shen Qingqiu | Shen Yuan.Who are the mods?Zack (enbycupcake on all platforms) & Isa (frostgremlin on ao3)Have more questions?
